Profile Activation
Description: In this topic, the user will learn how to activate their DCI user profile.
Role Required: Employee (base user)
Permission Required: N/A
After the DCI profile is created, the system will send an activation email to the address on the profile.
Locate the activation email sent by support@dcisoftware.com
Check spam if the email is not received
Select the Activate Your Profile button in the email
Please note: The Active Your Profile or Reset Password button link will only be active for a specific amount of time (typically 24 hours) as determined by the organization
After clicking the Activate Your Profile button in the email, if the link is inactive, an alert appears stating "Invalid Token. Please contact your DCI administrator." Select the Resend the email button and proceed back to step 2.
The Authenticate Password page opens displaying two options:
Option 1: Enter the temporary password and click the blue Authenticate button (The temporary password should be communicated to the user based on organizational procedures).
The Update Password screen displays
Enter a new password with the following criteria:
Must be at least 10 characters
Must contain one uppercase letter, lowercase letter, number, and special character.
Must not contain more than two repeated characters in a row
Please note: Varies based on the instance
The password should be different from the three previous passwords
Please note: Only applicable when changing password
Password should not contain the user's account name or parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive characters
Retype the password to confirm it
Click the blue Update Password button
Click the blue Yes button on the Alert pop-up to confirm the password update
The DCI profile login page displays
Enter the username
Enter the password
Click the blue Sign In button
The update security details page opens
Select a Security Question from the drop-down
Type a Security Answer
The security question and answer will be used as a verification option if the user selects the Forgot Password link to reset their password
Security questions are case sensitive
Click the blue Save button
The user is now logged into their profile
Option 2: If you do not know your temporary password, click the blue Set New Password button to create a new password.
The Security Verification screen displays
Enter last four digits of SSN (Social Security Number)
Select DOB (Date of Birth) by selecting Month, Day, and Year from the drop-downs.
Click the blue Verify button
The Reset Password screen displays
Enter a new password with the following criteria:
Must be at least 10 characters
Must contain one uppercase letter, lowercase letter, number, and special character.
