July 2026 - 2nd Release - Release Notes

The DCI maintenance release for the web portal will occur on the morning of Wednesday, July 29th, 2026, and will require the DCI Web Portal to be unavailable for all users from 1:30 AM to 3:30 AM EST.

The DCI maintenance release does not require a Mobile App update. Thank you for being a valued DCI customer!

Automatic Reactivation of Employee Service Accounts (ESAs)

This release introduces a new nightly sweep process called RenewedTrainingSweepProcess that automatically reactivates Employee Service Accounts (ESAs) that were previously deactivated by our existing ExpiredTrainingSweepProcess due to expired training requirements.

Previously:

  • When an employee's required certifications expired, the nightly ExpiredTrainingSweepProcess automatically set the employee's associated ESAs to Inactive, preventing the employee from clocking time.

  • After the employee completed or renewed the required certifications and returned to compliance, staff had to manually reactivate the employee's ESAs before the employee could clock in again.

Now:

  • An ESA previously de-activated by the ExpiredTrainingSweepProcess due to expired Certifications is now re-activated by the RenewedTrainingSweepProcess after adding or renewing the Certification.

  • ESA reactivation occurs automatically on a nightly schedule, reducing administrative effort and helping employees return to work without manual intervention.

  • Each automatic reactivation creates a corresponding Event for audit and tracking purposes.

Notes:

  • The reactivation process evaluates the employee's current certification status. Historical or expired certification records will not prevent reactivation as long as the employee has active certifications that satisfy compliance requirements.

  • An ESA that is manually deactivated is not reactivated by the new sweep.

Multiple Roles Over the Same Cost Center

DCI’s existing role management functionality has been enhanced. Super Users and Employees (Base User) with either the Role Admin permission or Role Admin Least Privilege permission can now assign an employee up to 4 roles in the same Cost Center! This new feature eliminates the need to assign employees the Super User role or global permissions in order to perform various tasks for their program. Additionally, Super Users and Employees with the Import Admin permission can import users with multiple roles in the same Cost Center.

Previously:

  • The system only allows an administrator to assign a single role per Cost Center to an employee.

Now:

  • The system allows an administrator to assign up to 4 roles per Cost Center to an employee.

  • Super Users and Employees with the Import Admin permission can import users with multiple roles in the same Cost Center.

Please note:

  • Super Users cannot have any other role or any permissions.

  • Employers cannot have any other role or any permission, however, they can have multiple Employer roles, each in a different Cost Center.

Enhanced Messaging Module Email Notifications

Email notifications generated from the DCI Messaging Module now display the subject line entered by the sender. This enhancement provides recipients with greater context about incoming messages and helps reduce confusion when reviewing notifications.

Key enhancement:

  • Email notification subject lines now reflect the subject entered by the sender.

  • Recipients can identify the purpose of a message directly from their inbox without opening the email.

How it works:

No action is required. The next time you receive a DCI message notification email, the subject line will display the message subject entered by the sender.
